Dr. Constanze Stelzenmüller: The Global Implications of Russia’s War in Ukraine
21. februar 2023 kl. 17.00 - 18.30 CET
Russia’s war against Ukraine is proving to be a catalyst for a reorientation of the European and international security order as well as European energy policy. Beyond Europe, there have also been repercussions for the global balance of power, China’s role in the world, food security and the status of nuclear treaties and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. Furthermore, the war fundamentally challenges the rules based world order and the role of the UN and the UN Security Council.
We are proud to present one of the leading experts in Europe to talk on this topic: Dr. Constanze Stelzenmüller.
Dr. Constanze Stelzenmüller is an expert on German, European, and trans-Atlantic foreign and security policy and strategy. She is the director of the Center on the United States and Europe and the inaugural holder of the Fritz Stern Chair on Germany and trans-Atlantic Relations at Brookings. She held the Kissinger Chair on Foreign Policy and International Relations at the Library of Congress from October 2019 to March 2020 and served as the inaugural Robert Bosch Senior Fellow at Brookings from 2014 to 2019.
