The Danish Foreign Policy Society

The society is a nonpartisan, nongovernmental, member-based organisation committed to fostering informed debate on foreign affairs and international relations in Denmark. Udenrigs (“Foreign”), our Danish-language magazine, is published thrice a year and features in-depth articles by leading academics, journalists, and policy experts.

Membership benefits

As a member our Embassy Forum, you gain access to all our events and conferences, alongside a subscription to Udenrigs. In 2024 alone, we hosted more than 70 events for our members, covering a range of themes and occasions – from speeches at gatherings with hundreds of participants to intimate, closed-door meetings with scholars and policymakers.

Membership of the society offers unparalleled networking opportunities with key actors from the realms of politics, business, and civil society. Additionally, our Embassy Members enjoy exclusive access to briefings focused on aspects of Danish society and politics of particular relevance to diplomatic missions.

Working with embassies

We are consistently seeking our opportunities to collaborate with diplomatic missions on events and initiatives and welcome any proposals or ideas for future partnerships. Past collaborations have included ambassador-led talks and joint events on themes of shared interest.

Membership Options

Embassy Membership: for an annual fee of 3,000 DKK (~400 EUR), up to five representatives can register under the membership.

Individual Membership: smaller embassies can opt for individual membership at 800 DKK (~110 EUR) per year.
