Chinese Foreign Policy on the backdrop of COVID-19
24. juni 2020 kl. 17.00 - 18.00 CEST
with H.E. Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Denmark Feng Tie
The People’s Republic of China has in four decades moved from internationally being a relatively isolated country in the international community to having become one of the world’s major powers. China’s more active participation is manifested among others in The Belt and Road Initiative as well as in the active participation in multilateral cooperation in the UN. Lately the COVID-19-pandemic and the US’ response to the pandemic has also influenced the direction of Chinese Foreign Policy.
The Danish Foreign Policy Society invites you for an online afternoon conversation with H.E. Chinese Ambassador to Denmark Feng Tie. The event will be moderated by Charlotte Flindt Pedersen, director of The Danish Foreign Policy Society.
This afternoon we will look at the latest developments in Chinese foreign policy on the backdrop of COVID-19 and the development in international relations globally and specifically in relation to Europe and countries like Denmark.
The conversation is carried out under Chatham House Rule.
