Embassy Briefing: Denmark’s Candidature to the UN Security Council with Holger K. Nielsen

We are pleased to extend an invitation to you for a briefing session on Denmark’s candidature for a seat on the United Nations Security Council in the period 2025 – 2026.

The Danish campaign was launched in September 2022 under the slogan Equality. Security. Action. If elected, it will be the fifth time Denmark holds a seat on the Security Council.

During the briefing, the Special Representative for Denmark’s Candidature to the UN Security Council, Holger K. Nielsen, will present the Danish campaign and the spirit of cooperation that Denmark wishes to bring the Security Council. Holger K. Nielsen is a former Member of the Folketing and has occupied several ministerial positions through his long career, including Minister for Foreign Affairs.  At the talk, you will have the opportunity to ask Holger K. Nielsen any question you may have about Denmark’s candidature.
