Royal Diplomacy & soft power: meeting with HM Margareta of Romania

HM Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown and HRH Prince Radu visit the Danish Foreign Policy Society and the Atlantic Treaty Association to discuss “Royal Diplomacy” within the framework of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Her Majesty Margareta is the eldest daughter and successor of the Late King Michael of Romania. She is the current Sovereign of the House of Romania and of the Dynastic Orders of Romania. She is the Custodian of the Romanian Crown. In 2018 she was nominated the most influential woman in Romania by Romanian “Forbes”. The award was given to Her Majesty in recognition for her activity in promoting Romania to the world and its sustained efforts to build and consolidate a healthy society.
Prior to becoming Custodian of the Romanian Crown, with a degree in sociology, political science and public international law, she has pursued a career within the United Nations: She has worked for the World Health Organization and The United Nations Population Fund, and UNPFA and IFAD. On 15 May 2015, the General Assembly of the Romanian Red Cross elected Her Majesty Margareta as President of the Romanian Red Cross.
At the meeting in the Danish Foreign Policy Society, Her Majesty Margareta will speak about her role as Custodian of the Romanian Crown in the diplomatic and foreign policy efforts of Romania with a specific focus on the current Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
